Nevada (NV)
On the runs: Pacific Northwest / Intermountain to California (origin branch)
Record held: 30 fields — 14 published, 16 not published / not yet checked.
This is a thin record because the state publishes little of this layer. What it publishes is below; every field it does not publish is marked plainly instead of filled in. A short page with honest gaps is the right page for this state.

Validity windowInspection within 60 days before the date of shipment: the certificate must certify the bees 'were inspected within 60 days before the date of shipment' (NRS 552.212(1)(a)). SCOPE NOTE: this is the only entry certificate published in NRS Chapter 552, and it covers only queens or other bees in screened cages without comb. No entry permit or entry certificate for colonies on comb is published in NRS Chapter 552 or in NAC Chapters 552/554 as fetched for this packet — that absence is recorded here and in sources-K2a.md, not recorded as a genuine zero, because no primary source affirmatively establishes that no such requirement exists.

What the certificate must stateOn request, the State Department of Agriculture will make inspections of apiaries or colonies of bees for colony strength and for colony health, and certifies colony strength or health (NAC 552.060). This is an on-request Nevada certification service, not an entry requirement.

What the certificate must stateThe Department must certify that the commodity is not an Africanized honeybee or does not contain any Africanized honeybees (NAC 554.815(1)). Restricted commodities are: any colony of honeybees that is owned or managed by a person, and any queen or other honeybee obtained from such a colony (NAC 554.811). For queens produced for sale or distribution from such colonies, the Department must certify at least twice during the production year that the producing colony does not contain Africanized honeybees (NAC 554.815(2)).

Who applies / who signsA person shall not ship, transport, or otherwise move a restricted commodity to a destination outside the quarantine areas in NAC 554.805 (Clark County; Nye County south of 37° N; Lincoln County south of 38° N) unless the Department has certified it as above (NAC 554.815). This is an in-state quarantine-area movement certification, not an interstate entry permit.

County layerNo county filing duty is published. The one county-shaped layer in Nevada's published bee rules is the Interior Quarantine Against Africanized Honeybees (NAC 554.805): the quarantine areas are defined by county — any area within Clark County; any portion of Nye County south of 37° north latitude; and any portion of Lincoln County south of 38° north latitude. Movement of a restricted commodity (a managed colony, or a queen or other honeybee obtained from such a colony) out of those areas requires Department certification (NAC 554.815; see the africanized-honeybee-certification instrument).

Consequences, as publishedFor the one entry certificate Nevada publishes (screened cages without comb): 'The Department may hold a shipment which is not accompanied by the certificate of inspection and notify the person who owns or controls the bees that they will be destroyed after 48 hours after the time of the notice unless a proper certificate of inspection is supplied. If the certificate is not supplied within that time, the bees may be destroyed' (NRS 552.212(2)). Separately, a restricted commodity moved out of the Africanized honeybee quarantine area in violation of NAC 554.805–554.825 'must be immediately returned to the area or destroyed in a manner specified by the Department' (NAC 554.825), and a colony determined to contain Africanized honeybees must, within 30 days of written notice, be destroyed as the Department specifies or provided with a queen that is not an Africanized honeybee (NAC 554.821).
